Valuations in Financial Reporting: Status Report and the Road Ahead
For many years, regulators, auditors, standard setters and valuation practitioners have expressed a need for greater commonality among financial reporting valuation standards, practices, education and/or qualifications and oversight. In 2012 and 2013, The Appraisal Foundation has hosted two roundtables that addressed these topics directly.
Since that time, much has happened in the business valuation discipline of the appraisal profession. The Appraisal Foundation is pleased to announce a follow-up business valuation specific roundtable discussion on October 5, 2015 in Washington, DC. This session will focus on the status of various initiatives that are currently in progress aimed at bringing greater consistency to valuation standards and practices for financial reporting.
The program, titled, Valuations in Financial Reporting: Status Report and the Road Ahead will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 at the Westin Washington DC City Center (1400 M Street NW, Washington, DC 20005).
