The Appraisal Foundation Recognizes Real Estate Appraiser Appreciation Day
January 7 honors the value of real estate appraisers
(Washington, DC) January 7, 2020 – The Appraisal Foundation President David Bunton sent letters to the leadership of Congressional committees with jurisdiction over the appraisal profession – the U.S. House Committee on Financial Services and the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs – and said, "January 7 is National Real Estate Appraiser Appreciation Day, and we look forward to commemorating the occasion and recognizing these professionals who help safeguard the integrity of real estate transactions and the health of the real estate economy."
Bunton noted, "We urge you to show your support for the profession by strengthening the Congressional intent of FIRREA and giving appraisers the backing and the tools they need to protect the safety and soundness of the real estate transaction."
