AQB Course Approval Program
Education Providers

The Course Approval Program has been established by the AQB at the request of and as a service to state appraiser regulatory agencies and providers of real estate appraisal education. The AQB hopes this voluntary program will provide a minimum level of acceptance for real estate appraisal education courses meeting the Real Property Appraiser Qualification Criteria established by the AQB.

The program is designed to be a convenience for both education providers and state regulators while helping to ensure quality appraisal courses for licensed and certified appraisers.

The AQB encourages state appraiser regulatory agencies and providers of real estate appraisal education to participate in and support this program.

State Regulators

The Course Approval Program has evolved over the years, and continues to adapt into useful tool for state regulatory agencies. CAP has transitioned into a paperless application submission system, which enables state regulators to access this material via a password-protected website. State regulators may view the materials of hundreds of CAP-approved courses without leaving their desk via the Internet. This system should be of particular assistance to states with limited resources for course review and approval.

Access is limited to state regulatory agency personnel only and additional identification information may be required for verification by Foundation staff.
